Fairy Decoupage Card

I made this card using a kit I won on a blog competition. Decoupage isn't really my thing as it's a bit fiddly, but I don't think it turned out too bad! I added some liquid pearl accents and stickles to the front. The tag is attached using a brad. I am sending it off to a little girl who is sick. Hopefully it will cheer her up a bit.

Olympics Children's Crafts

It was a horrible rainy day today, so I had to think of ways to keep a four year old occupied. Seeing as the Olympics have begun, I thought I'd get Ethan to make something related to that. The first thing we did was make an Olympics themed paper chain. This kept him occupied for ages. I used my Scotch double-sided tape which I received to review as a Scotch VIP. It was perfect for the job and very easy to use as there is no backing to remove.

After that we made a gold medal using fun foam. I die cut the medal using my PTI 2.5 inch Limitless Circles. I added a piece of card to the back to secure it. Then we die cut the letters and numbers using PTI Block Alphabet die and By the Numbers die. Finally we added some red twill ribbon. As you can see Ethan was very proud :)

Stamp A Faire Ribbon Challenge

I managed to get time to try another challenge last night, so I decided to follow Dawn's bow tying project. I can't tie a bow to save my life, and even the clear tutorial from Dawn did nothing to improve those skills! Still, I tried!

Stamp A Faire Morning Make and Take.

I wasn't able to take part in all the challenges that Papertrey Ink were hosting yesterday as it was my son's birthday. However, I was able to get this card made at about midnight and just in time to upload. The rest of the challenges are open for longer, so I hope to make some tonight.

Nichole used the stamp set Natural Beauties, which I don't have yet, but you were allowed to substitute it with any other floral set. I used Beautiful Blooms II and cased Nichole's card. I didn't have any vellum either, so I had to use white card. It wasn't until I had it stuck down that I realised the card strip was too wide. Never mind, I will know for next time!

Ethan is 4!!

My post for today is my take on a Kristina Werner card that I saw on the Simon Says Stamp blog. It just looked really fun and I thought it would be perfect for Ethan's 4th birthday card.

Here is Kristina's card.

And here is my one. Excuse the poor lighting but it's late here!
I got rid of loads of scraps on this one :)
It feels very satisfying to slowly work my way through that box!

Thanks for looking :)

Introducing Maya Rose.

My beautiful little girl arrived on the 2nd of July. Finally I have a use for all my pretty papers, flowers and girly embellishments :) I've had this piece of Basic Grey PP since I first started crafting. It's so pretty, but kind of fussy so I've never used it. I kept the layout very simple and just added some bling and pearls to the flowers. The little tab to the right of the photo are the off cuts from PTI's Simple Circles border die. I added a Simply Chartreuse button on top and Maya's date of birth to the bottom corner. The alphas are from American Crafts.

Thanks for looking!
